Young People's Performing Arts Ensemble is a theatre arts company for the young by the young. It is committed to develop, to research and to explore the young's creativity and independent thinking through theatre arts. The theatre works YPPAE produces include: Drama, children's musical, children's chorus concert, story-telling and cross talk. YPPAE cross talk shows "Roaring Good Times!" 哄堂is already a branded name for Singapore cross talk in local theatre. YPPAE also engages the youth in arts education and exploration programmes.
YPPAE Artistes are known for their dexterously articulation of Standard Mandarin. Through a modernist approach to Asian culture, Western logical thinking and Confucian philosophy, YPPAE artistes are well-equipped not only make their presence felt onstage but in the world as well.
